1. Keep texts short and sweet.

Imagine someone came up to you in real life and spoke non-stop for 5 minutes. They didn’t pause to hear what you had to say. They just droned on and on, enjoying nothing but the sound of their own voice.
You’d lose interest pretty fast, right?
Well, the same thing happens with texting.
Send someone a long, rambling message and you’re likely to lose their attention before they’ve even finished reading it.

When you’re done chatting, you obviously shouldn’t just stop replying to the other person’s text messages. And don’t end things with a generic “Bye!”

You could also create a reason you need to go that’s subtly suggestive. For instance, maybe you need to go and release some tension or work up a sweat in the gym.
